Dyes for Low Carbon Liquid Fuel Applications
To Decrease Carbon Dioxide Emissions
Low Carbon Fuel Emissions Standards (LCFS) main purpose is to decrease carbon dioxide emissions associated with vehicles powered by various internal combustion engines in order to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation. The first LCFS was enacted by California in 2007 to take effect in 2011 and called for the reduction of at least 10 percent in the carbon intensity of California’s transportation fuels by 2020. Similar legislation has been approved by several other US states along with British Columbia, the European Union, and The United Kingdom.
Sunbelt rose to the challenge of assisting these States to meet their LCFS standards by modifying selected dyes from its line of Dyes for Liquid Fuel Applications to assist in reducing the carbon dioxide emissions of the liquid fuels, into which they are introduced.
Our line of Low Carbon Liquid dyes use derivatives of soybeans or palm oil for carriers of the dye concentrates. These carriers offer a plant based, renewable alternative to traditional petroleum based solvent carriers such as xylene and mineral Oil. If you are looking to reduce your carbon footprint for fuel, candle, lubricants, or other oil or fat-soluble substrates, then Sunbelt’s line of Low Carbon Dyes is for you.
